Fields of Flowers: An Abstract Painting Workshop

Explore the magic and beauty of painting an abstract field of flowers inspired by your imagination and memory. You'll discover the unique process of mark-making and engage with a blend of writing and scratching tools to unveil countless approaches to create cohesive work with color harmony and composition all while loosening up and losing yourself in a field of flowers.

You'll explore mark marking and how to use it on layers throughout your pieces, learn to harmonize your acrylic colors to create beautifully cohesive paintings, and create several pieces of art using both paper and canvas. Each day will be a combination of exercises, demonstrations, and lots of painting time. You’ll receive personalized coaching and feedback during the entire workshop for each step of the process.

Leave with new techniques and processes to incorporate into your own artwork, new friends to add to your tribe, and many new pieces of artwork that will have you feeling accomplished and motivated to create more!

This is a 3-day workshop. Registration includes lunch each day. 

Once registered, you'll receive an email with places to stay near the workshop location along with an art supply list. The workshop location is about 30 minutes from Austin in Dripping Springs, Texas.

Daily schedule: 10 am to 4 pm with a lunch break. Studio space will be open from 9 am to 5 pm each day.
